ARD network events

For ARD network members are foreseen different kinds of meetings and events:

The two-monthly technical meetings for network members based at SDC headquarters are planned to foster an exchange about the network and to monitor its functioning.

Thematic meetings on a wide range of ARD-topics will also take place according to arising opportunities and to the members’ demand and topics of interest. Most of these meetings will take place online to enhance a lively discussion and allow mutual exchange between network members in coordination offices and at headoffice.

Summary of thematic meetings which have occurred at headoffice:

Face to face (f2f) meetings

The first f2f meeting for ARD network members on land governance and rural advisory services was held in Cochabamba, Bolivia, from July 4th (arrival) to July 10th 2010 (departure).

Find here the reporting of the f2f meeting done in form of an interactive blog.

The objectives of this f2f event are that participants deepen their knowledge in the two in-depth themes of the network through:

a) Exchanging, complementing and consolidating the preliminary insights and learning experiences of the e-discussions on the two themes;

b) Learning from the direct interaction with other participants and from the specific local situation regarding the two themes (points of view and interests of different stake-holders; key challenges and possible solutions; new ideas and innovative approaches; lessons to be learnt by the participants for their own working environment, etc.)

c) Getting to know the other network members and learning about the functioning of the network for an enhanced exchange of knowledge among the members and institutional learning

d) Defining the further work plan for the two learning groups and for the ARD network
